ACCOMMODATION

The Sanchaya’s 21 villas and 9 suites are tastefully designed. Each villa and suite has its own unique style, reflecting the rich culture, history and art of the region. All villas and suites are equipped with Bang & Olufsen TV and sound systems, cable and Apple TV.

ROOM DESCRIPTION

Influenced by its rich colours, variety of flavours, and exotic sights and sounds of South East Asia, the very best elements are harmoniously blended together in the individual personalities of the villas and suites.

A taste of Thailand is reflected in the Lawan Village’s seven villas built around a beautiful man-made lagoon. The décor reflects Thai influences throughout, using elegant furnishings accented with dark wood, soft neutral tones and high vaulted ceilings which create the serene ambiance of a private residence. With romantic canopied beds and freestanding bath tubs overlooking private gardens, Lawan Villas are the perfect place to de-stress and unwind.

Eight One bedroom Sea View Villas reflect influences from Brunei, Indonesia, Cambodia and Vietnam and four Two Bedroom Sea View Villasreflect influences from Malaysia, The Philippines, Laos and Myanmar. These exquisite villas have private landscaped terraces and gardens which add to the overall feeling of space and tranquillity.

Stunning views of the beach and shimmering Indian Ocean can be admired from the nine suites located on the upper floor of The Great House. These suites are filled with art and luxurious furnishings sourced from across South East Asia, reflecting the romantic colonial style of the residence, as well as giving a true sense of the region. Each suite has a collection of The Sanchaya fine art and design.

Leelawadee Villas are for those who wish to indulge in the luxury of having three spacious bedrooms, and are ideal for a family or a group of friends. The décor of the compound was inspired by Thai traditions and culture, with soothing lush garden views and private pool terraces, the three Leelawadee Villas provide a haven of subliminal tranquility.

A stunning expression of Asian chic, the two-storey Vanda Villa, the Estate’s Presidential Villa, is influenced by the tropical beauty of Singapore and its striking black and white colonial houses. With a pure simplicity of white furnishings, the four bedroom Villa has a glorious sense of space and calmness which provides the ultimate setting for its magnificent ocean views.

Customized Services

Bed Linen, Bed Scape and Bath Scape by Ploh – For a bespoke bed and bath experience The Sanchaya chose plush 464 thread count Egyptian cotton Percale bed linen by Ploh. Luxurious bath linen is a premier 650 gram single yarn weave

Bath Menu – The bath menu offers four exquisite bathing experiences using signature bath salt fragrances which were especially created for the resort, together with candles and a luxurious food and beverage pairing.

Pillow Menu – Residents can enhance their sleeping pleasure with a selection of pillows according to their preference

Customized Bathroom Amenities - The Sanchaya’s range of bespoke bathroom amenities were created using Michelia Alba (the temple flower), Frangipani, Lemon, Lime and Peppermint. This unique fragrance was exclusively handcrafted from the purest elements of nature and blended with pure essentials oils.

Customized Chinaware – Following in the footsteps of ancient South-East Asian tradition, The Sanchaya have created their own fine bone China collection. Their Luzern hand crafted afternoon tea crockery features one of The Estate’s flower logos which have been incorporated in an elegant, contemporary design. Additionally, both the Dining Room and Tasanee Grill feature their own customized Luzern bone china designs. The Estate’s table glassware is from the esteemed House of Riedel in Austria.

Custom Blended Coffees and Leaf Teas – The Estate’s tea offering features an extensive selection from Ronnefeldt teas including their ownSanchaya Blend. This blend is collected from small scale farmers who pluck the healthy, green leaves at an altitude of 1500 meters in the Ilam province of Eastern Nepal and is exclusively available on The Estate.

The same artisanal philosophy is behind The Sanchaya custom blend coffee using four types of Arabica beans whose character is medium-high body, low acidity with caramel, nutty and dark chocolate notes. The 100% Arabica beans are sourced from Estates in West Java, Central Java, Lombok and Flores and are cultivated at 1100 meters above sea level. They are hand-picked, processed with the washed method, dried on stainless steel beds and then medium roasted in a hot air roaster.

The Gourmet coffee menu will feature blends that will be hand-ground in front of each resident and brewed in a French press, adding a wonderful fragrant touch to the experience, paying homage to an ancient preparation technique rarely seen today.

Customized Bar List – The Estate’s bar lists were exclusively customized by Fluid Dynamics from the United Kingdom, pioneering a unique beverage offering and creating truly innovative bar experiences to really “wow” residents. The pinnacle service is the “no menu” presentation with personal interaction between the barmen with the resident, while creating a signature cocktail on the spot customized to resident’s specific preference.

Handcrafted Complimentary European Chocolates in Maxi Bar – The Sanchaya has created an exclusively handcrafted range of European chocolates which includes 80% cocoa dark, Croquante Caramel and Sea Salt Milk Chocolate. These are included in the complimentary Maxi bar offering which is replenished daily.

Custom Designed Batik Prints for The Sanchaya Artisan’s Uniforms – Batik is both an art and a craft. The Sanchaya has designed the uniform for each of Artisans incorporating batik prints as an authentic modern interpretation of this ancient tradition and regional cultural art form.

The Sanchaya’s restaurants include The Dining Room for all day dining and the poolside Tasanee Grill serving Bangkok street cuisine in a beach setting where guests can enjoy afternoon tea and learn about the special blends of tea available in the resort.

The Salon & Library is a tranquil lounge area overlooking the pool and beach, where guests can enjoy a casual meal or beverage from The Dining Room menu or just relax. It also houses a very special wine and cheese tasting room called Decanter which has a curated wine list and a resident Sommelier on hand to assist with wine selection and pairings.

The Bar offers a menu of bespoke cocktails and beverages along with a selection of artisanal spirits and gourmet blends of fine leaf teas and custom blended coffees.

LEISURE FACILITIES

In addition to the Tasanee pool and exquisite beachfront, The Sanchaya Spa allows guests to lose themselves in the divine sensation of rejuvenation and renewal. The Gymnasium is open 24 hours and is fully equipped for a satisfying workout. Guests can enjoy a traditional colonial game of croquet on the estate’s exquisitely manicured croquet lawn.
